About BrassOpera Publishing
Music Typesetting and Engraving
BrassOpera can handle any type of music notation. Though we specialize in brass music, vocal songs and complete opera materials, our services include typeset music of all styles and instrumentations - from solo instrumental music to large symphonic works, as well as performance parts, orchestra and choral parts, and piano reductions.
BrassOpera will engrave your music onto Finale. We also offer custom hand-written engraving. We can work from manuscripts, faxes, printed scores, your rough data files (Finale or XML), hand written copy, MIDI file or previously printed copy.
Music Transcription
Using the art of a specially trained ear, BrassOpera musicians will listen to your music and provide comprehensive notation in any format you prefer, note for note. We can accurately transcribe any instrument present in your selected music and create professional sheet music, tablatures, chord charts, and even MIDI. We accept music recordings in almost all audio formats (such as CD, cassette, MP3, WMA or WAV).
1. Chord only transcription. If it is only the song chords you require, then we can save you the time and frustration with a complete chord transcription. We will send you a text file with all chords listed so you can get right down to the fun of playing.
2. Lead sheets. A lead sheet is form of music notation that describes the melody, lyrics and harmony of a song. The melody is written in traditional music notation, the lyric is written as text below the staff and the harmony is described by chord symbols above the staff. Have your lead sheets made from any recording from any type of tune.
3. Parts Transcription. We can fully transcribe any specified instrument or part in a song - melodies, solos, chords, bass lines, and even drums. Of course, we are also able to carry out notation for the entire song.
When we have finished engraving or transcription of your music, you will receive a high resolution PDF or TIFF of the work via email. We can also send you a printed copy with a CD containing the PDF together with any working files used to create the document. You will be able to select a style sheet for the final product if you wish.
Music Arranging
We specialize in 'horn arrangements' (genres ranging from Salsa, Funk, Blues, Country, Rock, R&B and Pop,) brass ensembles (brass quintet, Trombone quartet or ensemble, Tuba quartet or quintet, brass ensemble as well as British Brass Band 'style' arrangements and brass ensemble/percussion/organ,) tunes/charts for jazz ensemble, orchestral arrangements and full Choir arrangements.
