What This Is
Run the Changes is a portable jazz vocabulary lab built around the ii⁷–V⁷–Imaj⁷ cadence — the most common progression in jazz.
Long cells give each chord its own full bar — ii⁷ in bar 1, V⁷ in bar 2, Imaj⁷ in bar 3 — three bars total. Short cells compress the ii–V into bar 1 and resolve in bar 2. Every measure is filled to 4 beats.
The goal: learn each cell in C, then run it through all 12 keys. Vocabulary builds through repetition — this tool handles the transposition.
